Often, clients may not be able to articulate their needs clearly, which could mean that a support worker should be patient and understanding. They need to take their time to understand the client’s needs and ensure that they provide appropriate support and care.

4. Flexibility

A good support worker needs to be flexible and adaptable to accommodate the changing needs of the client. They should also be able to work under different circumstances and quickly change their approach when unexpected situations arise.

5. Reliability

A good support worker should be dependable and reliable and be able to stick to schedules and routines. Clients should have confidence that their support workers will be there for them when they need them.
